Video editing: assemble your clips

The Editing tab is where you turn a set of generated clips into one finished video: reorder them, trim the fat, and add sound.

1. Import your clips

Open the Editing tab. Clips generated from Text to video, Image to video, Transition or chained sequences all appear ready to drop onto the timeline, or import a file straight from disk.

2. Cut and reorder

Drag clips into the order you want, trim the start or end of a clip on the timeline, and split a clip in two if you only need part of it.

3. Join with transitions

Between two clips, add a cut, a fade or a cross-dissolve so the join reads as a deliberate edit rather than an abrupt jump.

4. Add a soundtrack

Drop an audio track under the timeline, balance its volume against the clips' own generated sound, and trim it to match the total length.

5. Export

Once the timeline looks right, export to a video file. Choose the resolution and format, then let the export finish before sharing or publishing the result.
