Installation and system requirements

tendre.AI runs on Windows as a native desktop app. Installation is a normal setup wizard, and the first launch takes care of the rest.

1. Download and run the installer

Grab the installer from the official download page and run it like any other Windows application. No account is required to install.

2. Approve the SmartScreen notice

The app is code-signed, but Windows SmartScreen may still show a warning on first run since it is a new publisher. Click More info, then Run anyway to continue. This is a one-time step.

3. Check your GPU

For local (Pro) generation, you need an NVIDIA GPU with at least 8 GB of VRAM, 12 GB or more recommended for comfortable SDXL image generation, video, and LoRA training. If your card does not meet this, or you have no NVIDIA GPU at all, you can still use the app in Starter mode, which renders in the cloud instead of on your hardware.

4. First launch

On first launch, tendre.AI downloads the base Stable Diffusion XL model it needs for local generation. This takes a few minutes on a normal connection and only happens once. If you plan to stay in Starter mode, this download is skipped.

5. Choose your mode

Once installed, decide between local and cloud generation depending on your hardware. See Local vs cloud generation for the difference, then follow the Quick start to generate your first image.
