Upscale: increase image resolution

Upscaling takes an image you already generated and increases its resolution, adding detail rather than just stretching pixels. Use it when you need a larger file for print, a wallpaper, or a closer crop that still looks sharp.

1. Open the image

Pick the image to upscale from a recent generation or from the gallery. Upscaling works best on an image you are already happy with, since it refines detail rather than changing the composition.

2. Choose a factor

Select how much larger you want the result, for example 2x or 4x the original size. A higher factor takes longer to render and uses more VRAM.

3. Run the upscale

Start the upscale and let it process. It runs on your own GPU like any other generation, so the source image never leaves your machine.

4. Export

Once it finishes, compare the result against the original at full zoom to check the added detail looks clean, then export the file at its new resolution.

If you want to fix a specific detail rather than the whole image, use Inpainting before or after upscaling.
