Steps

Steps count the number of refinement passes an image model performs while generating a picture, gradually turning noise into a clear result. More steps generally add detail and stability up to a point of diminishing returns, while fewer steps generate faster but can leave an image looking soft or unfinished.

In tendre.AI, the step count is fixed by the engine: Krea 2 Turbo, a distilled model, finishes an image in 8 steps, 10 for a retouch. There is no step setting; the Quality choice (Small PC, Standard, High) sets the image size, not the steps.
